We are currently looking for experienced professionals to join our management team:

1. OPERATIONS MANAGER

We are looking for an Operations Manager who genuinely enjoys being involved in the daily operation—not someone who only manages from behind a desk.

This person will work closely with the General Manager to ensure the guest experience, service standards, and daily operation run consistently across Hideout’s two villages.

Requirements:

• Solid experience in hotel, resort, or villa operations

• Able to coordinate Front Office, Housekeeping, Engineering, F&B, Security, and Guest Experience

• Confident leading daily briefings, inspections, and operational follow-ups

• Able to make practical decisions when challenges happen during the operation

• Good understanding of guest handling, service recovery, team scheduling, cost control, and operational standards

• Able to develop and implement SOPs that are clear and practical for the team

• Comfortable managing several priorities without losing attention to detail

• Experience with a hotel opening, operational transition, or growing hospitality business is highly preferred

• A visible and supportive leader who can coach and develop the team

• Willing to work flexible hours when required by the operation

• Good communication skills in English and Bahasa Indonesia

We are looking for someone who takes ownership, follows things through, and is comfortable being present on the ground.

2. CHIEF ENGINEER

We are looking for a hands-on Chief Engineer who understands both the technical and operational sides of hospitality engineering.

Hideout is surrounded by nature and includes bamboo structures, private pools, and different types of villas and facilities. We need someone who can combine strong technical knowledge with a practical approach to maintaining a property in this environment.

Requirements:

• Engineering experience in a hotel, resort, villa complex, or similar hospitality property

• Good knowledge of electrical systems, plumbing, water treatment, pumps, hot water systems, swimming pools, air-conditioning, generators, and wastewater systems

• Able to create and manage preventive maintenance schedules, checklists, records, and follow-up systems

• Able to identify the root cause of technical problems instead of repeatedly applying temporary repairs

• Experience preparing engineering budgets and controlling spare parts, tools, energy use, and maintenance costs

• Confident managing contractors and checking the quality of completed work

• Experience supporting a pre-opening, renovation, expansion, or operational transition is highly preferred

• Good understanding of safety standards, emergency response, energy efficiency, and asset protection

• Able to lead and develop the engineering team while remaining willing to work directly in the field

• Experience with bamboo or timber buildings would be an advantage

• Good communication skills in English and Bahasa Indonesia

We need someone who can anticipate problems, establish a reliable maintenance system, and take ownership of the property’s overall technical condition.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

• Based in or willing to relocate to Karangasem, Bali

• Relevant hospitality experience is highly preferred

• English communication skills are required, as both positions involve regular meetings, reporting, and coordination in English

• Able to work independently while collaborating closely with the wider team
