Job Summary:

The Head Gardener is responsible for overseeing and managing all gardening and landscaping activities to ensure the property's gardens, green spaces, and outdoor areas are maintained to the highest standards.

Main Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily gardening and landscaping activities to maintain the property's overall appearance and landscape quality.
• Monitor plant health and identify potential issues, including diseases, pests, and irrigation problems.
• Supervise, assign, and monitor daily tasks of the gardening team.
• Provide guidance, training, and support to ensure team members perform their duties effectively.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for gardens, landscaping equipment, and irrigation systems.
• Conduct regular inspections of gardens, pathways, lawns, and outdoor facilities.
  
  

Job Requirements:

• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in gardening, landscaping, or horticulture, preferably in a hotel, resort, or luxury villa environment.
• Previous experience supervising or leading a gardening team is preferred.
• Good knowledge of tropical plants, trees, flowers, soil conditions, fertilization, irrigation, and pest management.
• Ability to identify plant diseases and recommend appropriate treatment.
• Familiarity with gardening tools, landscaping equipment, and irrigation systems.
• Understanding of chemical handling, environmental practices, and workplace safety procedures.
• Good leadership, communication, and team coordination skills.
• Strong attention to detail with a good sense of aesthetics and landscape presentation.
