About the Role

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Head Barista to lead our barista team and ensure a consistently high standard of coffee, beverage quality, service, and guest experience at ZIN Canggu.

This role is responsible for overseeing daily bar operations, maintaining beverage standards, developing the team, managing inventory, and ensuring the coffee operation runs efficiently while delivering the quality and service standards expected by ZIN guests.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and supervise the barista team in daily operations.

Ensure consistent quality, taste, presentation, and preparation of all coffee and beverages.

Maintain and implement standard recipes, brewing methods, and beverage SOPs.

Monitor daily bar operations, workflow, cleanliness, and equipment condition.

Train, coach, and develop barista team members to improve technical skills and service standards.

Conduct regular quality checks on coffee beans, beverages, equipment, and overall bar presentation.

Manage coffee and beverage inventory, including stock levels, ordering, storage, and wastage control.

Monitor beverage costs and support initiatives to improve cost efficiency without compromising quality.

Coordinate with the F&B team and other departments to ensure smooth service and guest satisfaction.

Handle guest feedback related to coffee and beverages and ensure appropriate follow-up.

Support menu development and contribute ideas for new coffee and beverage offerings.

Ensure compliance with hygiene, food safety, grooming, and workplace standards.

Assist the F&B management team with operational reports, evaluations, and performance monitoring.

Act as a role model for professionalism, teamwork, service excellence, and product knowledge.

Who You Are

Experienced barista with strong knowledge of coffee preparation and beverage operations.

Strong understanding of espresso, brewing methods, milk steaming, latte art, and coffee quality.

Has previous experience leading or supervising a barista team.

Passionate about coffee, hospitality, and delivering excellent guest experiences.

Strong leadership and communication skills.

Able to train and motivate team members effectively.

Detail-oriented and consistent in maintaining quality standards.

Commercially aware and understands the importance of cost control and inventory management.

Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Proactive, responsible, and comfortable taking ownership of daily bar operations.
