Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome guests in a warm, elegant, and professional manner, reflecting the restaurant’s brand image.
- Manage reservations accurately using the reservation system (online platforms, booking book, or POS system).
- Organize table allocation strategically based on service flow, guest preferences, and VIP arrangements.
- Handle waiting lists efficiently while maintaining clear and courteous communication.
- Coordinate closely with the Restaurant Manager, Captain, and service team regarding VIP guests, special occasions, and dietary requirements.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and aesthetic presentation of the host desk and entrance area.
- Handle initial guest concerns or complaints calmly before escalating to management when necessary.
- Possess thorough knowledge of the restaurant concept, menu highlights, special promotions, and basic wine pairing to assist guests confidently.
- Maintain impeccable grooming and adhere strictly to fine dining etiquette standards.
Qualifications:
- Minimum high school diploma; Hospitality or Hotel Management degree preferred.
- Minimum 1 year experience in field a fine dining restaurant or five-star hotel.
- Professional demeanor.
- Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Fluent in English (mandatory); additional languages are a plus.
- Understanding of hospitality etiquette and table management.
- Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure.
- Service-oriented mindset with attention to detail and guest satisfaction.
